The AWARD_HEU General Assembly recently took place in Bucharest, Romania, gathering key partners to discuss progress and next steps in sustainable water management. Hosted by the Universitatea Tehnică de Construcții București (UTCB), this multi-day event featured a series of in-depth presentations, strategic discussions, and insightful field visits. The event fostered strong collaboration and innovation in the field of Alternative Water Resources (AWRs), reinforcing the project's mission to develop sustainable water solutions across Europe.

On December 12, 2024, Paderno Dugnano hosted a public meeting to present its role in the European Horizon project AWARD. Organized by the Metropolitan City of Milan and the local municipality, the event showcased how the city is embracing Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for water resilience.

AWARD Project Showcased at Aqua Business Days 2024 to promote sustainable water management solutions

The European project AWARD (Alternative Water Resources for Sustainable Water Management) took center stage at the Aqua Business Days 2024, held on December 11-12 in Aix-en-Provence, France. The project was showcased at the European corner,  drawing interest from professionals and stakeholders in the water management sector.

The Aqua-Valley cluster is involved in the European AWARD project, and the EUROMED REUSE 2024 conference cycle on October 29-30 is an excellent opportunity to share the challenges of this project.

On October 29, 2024, the Municipality of Solaro welcomed the European Horizon project AWARD with a public event dedicated to sustainable water management and climate resilience. Organized by the Metropolitan City of Milan and the Municipality of Solaro, the event spotlighted Solaro’s role as a pilot site within the EU-funded AWARD initiative, which promotes Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for urban environments.
