European Workshop: Integrating Alternative Water Resources into Territorial Planning

European Workshop: Integrating Alternative Water Resources into Territorial Planning

As water challenges intensify across Europe, Alternative Water Resources (AWR) are becoming key solutions to strengthen territorial resilience and support sustainable water management.

To support this transition, the AWARD Project is organizing a European online workshop bringing together local and regional stakeholders interested in integrating alternative water resources into planning and policy strategies.

Workshop Objectives

This interactive session aims to:

  • Present the AWARD approach for integrating alternative water resources
  • Share insights from European demo cases
  • Encourage exchanges between participants on challenges and opportunities
  • Introduce practical tools to support decision-making

A First Step Toward European Collaboration

This workshop marks the beginning of a broader European exchange process designed to support territories in developing robust and forward-looking water management strategies.

Whether you are already working on alternative water solutions or just starting to explore them, this session offers a valuable opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate at the European level.
